FAQs — Seiko Mod Components
Are all components compatible with NH35/NH36?+
Most mod parts are designed for NH35/NH36 movements since they’re the most common in Seiko builds. Always check each product’s fit notes for exceptions.
What case sizes are supported?+
We stock parts for popular SKX/5KX builds (42 mm), Royal Oak 37 mm/41 mm, and Aquanaut-style cases. Each collection notes the matching case size.
Do I need to modify dial feet or hands?+
Most dials and hands fit directly onto NH35/NH36. Some builds may require trimming dial feet or confirming hand hole sizes. Fit notes are provided in every listing.
Which crystals and bezels fit my case?+
Crystal height and bezel compatibility depend on the specific case. Larger dials (30.8 mm) often pair with taller or domed sapphire crystals. Always cross-check the case specifications.
Can I mix and match components across collections?+
Yes — that’s the idea of modding. As long as the movement, case size, and fit notes align, you can combine cases, dials, hands, bezels, and crowns freely.
I’m new to modding — where should I start?+
A good starting point is choosing a case and movement (NH35/NH36), then adding a dial and hands. From there you can customize bezels, inserts, crystals, and straps.
